Madinah is hosting the second edition of the exhibition “Nakhwat Mu'azzi and a Nation's Journey”, organized by Takhleed, the cultural arm of Tri Group, at Madinah Arts Center. It runs from the first of September to the thirtieth of November with 21 artworks by 13 Saudi artists, alongside visual archives and manuscripts shown for the very first time.
Three themes, one journey
The exhibition unfolds across three themes that lead the visitor along a single narrative path:
- An extended legacy, celebrating the memory of the land and the role of women in shaping the story.
- The journey of unification, capturing the hard road to unifying the Kingdom.
- Aspects of social life, tracing noble values through the development of society.
An exhibition told through artifacts
The idea behind the exhibition is that a homeland is understood when its traces can be touched. So alongside the artworks it places visual archives from the milestones of the journey of King Abdulaziz, and manuscripts shown for the first time, so the visitor leaves with an experience lived rather than a fact read.
Takhleed approaches this work with its consistent method: putting art to work as a bridge that brings out the beauty and inspiration within local culture and heritage, and turning historical research into a contemporary visual experience.
Official support and scholarly authentication
The exhibition is held with the support of the Madinah Region Development Authority and the Visual Arts Commission, with scholarly and historical authentication from the King Abdulaziz Foundation, and in partnership with the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries, giving its content a documented grounding that matches its artistic value.
From the first edition to the second
The first edition was held five months earlier and drew a response that led the team to return with a wider second edition, moving this time to Madinah to bring the experience to a new audience from inside the Kingdom and beyond.
Takhleed within the group
Takhleed is one of the four Tri Group companies and works in the cultural sector, content production and artistic production. The exhibition extends the role of the group in institutional and cultural projects delivered since its founding in 2011 with government and semi government entities and with the private and non profit sectors.
